Back at work

How to deal with the Back-to-Work Blues
(Or, how to handle any transition where you go from the heights of fun to the less ideal nitty gritty busy):

Remind yourself (and get others to remind you) that:

·         You were made for such a time as this… even this day-to-day, cubicle place.  Of course, there are much bigger, more important things in this overall destiny of yours, but this too you were made for (Esther 4:14).

·         Build and settle as though you were staying for a long time.  Increase and do not decrease.  Seek the peace and prosperity of this place.  Pray to the Lord for it (Jeremiah 29:5-7).

·         You’re being prepared for other things.  This place is giving you tools for next steps, tasks beyond, other demands…(see Joseph, Moses, David, Daniel, etc etc).

·         Remember your thankfulness… because you’re so thankful… for the people, the provision, the orchestrating, the evenings and mornings, your fulfilled, satisfied heart.
