You get a hint of change. It's a-coming, right? You don't know what, but you know it's around the corner. And you cringe a little and you wince in your shoes. Restlessness, worry. Shake shake shake.
Then you speak to yourself ... you tell yourself who the Lord is...
He is Unchanging.
"For I am the Lord, I change not" (Malachi 3:6)
He is Faithful.
"For the word of the LORD is right and true; he is faithful in all he does" (Psalm 33:4).
He Keeps His Word.
"As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it" (Isaiah 55:10).
“All people are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field; the grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of the Lord endures forever" (1 Peter 1:24-25).
And you feel more excited, more ready, more able... for change.
